ODA TV News has mixed me, Kanalturk and NurettinVeren up. He reported things I haven’t said and which never existed as real. I don’t know him. I must use my right to answer. All of this is nonsense.

At the time, they prepared an international presentation for the sale of Kanalturk, they were looking for a buyer. I’ve already published a statement about the penalty charges and a list of payments on this platform.

I am not disclosing his name as I haven’t got his consent to do so. But there is a recent message I received from one of the long-termshareholders of Kanalturk at that time. The message reads:

“The first and the last time we met was at the time of the sale of Kanalturk. You asked me to stay on, but on principle, I insisted on leaving.

We were in a position where we were not able to pay the salaries and we were looking for a buyer. Negotiations were on going with several media bosses. I was against the sale of the station to an AKP supporter. We had a cause. I didn’t want to damagethat cause. Despitemy right not being honoured, I didn’t want to be perceived assquabblingover money. We had sold everything in order for the channel to survive and we were in debt. After the sale, Tuncay alone received the money through his nephew and we were left cheated. And then,when he ended up in prison, as a result of the fabricated case, we didn’t tell anyone that we had been cheated.

I criticize you, as your media outlets stirred up a lot of resentment from the Kemalist patriots. But as a person, I have always sided with the vulnerable and was always after the truth. For this reason, I express grief atthe injustice that you have been treated with. They might even call me ‘a parallel’,in spite of the factthat I have pointed out the dangers of ‘cemaat’ and itsstructure in Turkey numerous times. You are a good and honest person who pays the employees their due. Do know that I don’t agree with your way of thinking or your alliance. I have said numerous times that I find the illegal structure, which was disclosed in fabricated cases, dangerous. This view of mine hasn’t changed.

I write to you in a compassionate and heartfelt way because of the persecution you have been exposed to. If there is a case, I want you to know that I will tell the truth despite facing all kinds of criticism.

May Allah unite you with your loved ones.”

I would like to add something.

One needs to distinguish between those who abuse their causeandthose who feed their cause.

The measure must be honesty and conscience.
